Spring is in the air…

It’s all go in our OneStage office this term, with our first Spring groups about to travel. We have groups departing for Brussels, Krakow, Bratislava, Ljubljana, Italy, Slovenia, Athens and many more destinations over the next few months. We look forward to welcoming our group from Salt Lake City to the UK and France in April too and hope that their performances run smoothly. Look out for more posts and photos as reports start coming through.

There are quite a few inspection visits looming. Becky has recently returned from a whirlwind trip to Lisbon at the weekend (visiting venues for our two groups peforming in Lisbon Music Festival this summer). Our team will be scattered over the coming weeks whilst we venture around Europe visiting Thüringia, Nuremberg, Brussels, Lake Konstanz, Lichtenstein, Salzburg, Wagrain, Lake Garda, Slovenia, etc. Julian was in Minnesota last week at the ACDA conference will be visiting the British Tourism & Travel show at the NEC on Thursday.

We thank all the International ensembles who are involved in joint concerts with OneStage groups around Europe, and all of our wonderful contacts at venues everywhere who are working hard to promote performances on behalf of OneStage.  We hope your concerts go well and don’t forget to tweet so we know how you’re getting on.

We welcome Leo Diebel to the OneStage team! Leo is a fantastic linguist (he can even speak a few words of Finnish with me!) and is learning the ropes very quickly. Leo will be tour managing with Sarah and Becks in Wallonia & Luxembourg with one of our big school groups this week and will then be off exploring Lake Konstanz and Lichtenstein at the beginning of April.

OneStage is delighted to announce, that our application to become ABTA members has been successful. Our groups can be be confident that OneStage continues to look after all aspects of your tour, including your travel needs and financial protection.  This does mean that some of our documentation will change so please keep an eye out for updates from our team, as well as new booking documentation which we’ll be sending out in April.

There have been a number of strikes at airports around Europe (Berlin Tegel & Schönefeld, Helsinki. . . French & Italian airports) and  in the last few weeks. We will notify flight groups with any concerns of strike action if we think they will be affected.

Our thoughts are with Brussels today, as we remember the tragic events that took place in Brussels a year ago.
