Thank you to everyone who has sent us photos from their tour. We produced 160 poster templates in-house this year in addition to the hundreds more created by our concert promoters around Europe.

In total, around 350 OneStage concerts took place in our 2015-2015 season.

It’s Great in Garda

Getting away during our busy summer season takes a lot of organisation, especially when we can have 15 groups all on the road at one time. It is a treat for us to visit places in summer, when parks are in full bloom and town squares are transformed with summer stages, street cafes overflowing and every chair in a venue is filled! It helps to feed our imaginations when we visit venues and hotels off-season, to remember that places can be transformed in high season.

Every summer, OneStage likes to drop in and see a group or two in action, performing live to the crowds. In 2014, Sonia immensely enjoyed listening to Sutton Youth Concert Band and Youth Orchestra perform by the sea in L’Escala and in the tranquil, picturesque courtyard in Perelada, Spain. West Sussex County Youth Orchestra were also in the area and performed to a packed church in L’Escala, on the Costa Brava.

In 2015, Pippy saw the Mid-Europe Festival in Schladming, Austria in full-swing and watched Westminster School perform to a packed house in Bad Hofgastein.

This year, Julian dropped in on Chester Catholic High School and Bradford Music Service’s concerts around Lake Garda.  Straight from the airport he rushed to Bardolino on the shores of the lake to experience one of the best sets he’s seen in 20 years of touring, from Chester’s City Jazz ensemble.  The concert was a huge hit, and the audience of over 500 were still dancing around the harbour at midnight!  A slightly more sedate classical concert followed the following night in Lasize from Bradford Youth Orchestra, before the same orchestra wowed the crowds at Movieland theme park: a fitting end to a hectic short visit!

Latest News from France

Friday, July 15th, 2016

Following news of the Bastille Day events in Nice, the French Government is advising people to be vigilant and avoid crowded places. France has extended its National State of Emergency which was due to expire on 26th July for a further three months.  This means the police have greater powers to deal with any suspected threats.

The current FCO advice states:

“We are in touch with the local authorities and seeking more information following an apparent attack on Bastille Day celebration in Nice. If you are in the area follow the instructions of the French authorities who are at present advising people to stay indoors at this time.”

The French government has launched a free smartphone app to alert users about possible security incidents, including all major natural, technological and terrorist-related risks. Users will be able to view alerts for up to eight geographical areas. The app, called SAIP (Système d’alerte et d’information des populations), is available in English and French. You can download the app by entering the term ‘SAIP’ in the Apple App store or Google Play.

There are no travel restrictions in place and OneStage will continue to operate French tours as normal.  We will collaborate with group leaders to ensure their groups’ safety.

EU REFERENDUM 23 JUNE 2016

Monday, June 27th, 2016

Flag_of_Europe.svg27 June 2016.

On Thursday 23 June 2016 Britain voted to leave the EU.    This will obviously generate a great many questions about how your tour might be affected, so we hope that this brief paragraph is helpful.

The process to leave the EU will take at least 2 years.  Until then, there is no advice that any travel arrangements, entry requirements, or validity of EHIC health cover cards have been changed. Our 2016 tours remain unaffected as at the above date. We will monitor the situation closely, and advise all our booked tour clients as soon as anything changes.

If you have any further questions please get in touch using the contact page on this site, or via the numbers at the bottom of the page

Another successful Easter for OneStage!

Tuesday, May 10th, 2016

OneStage celebrated a hugely successful winter and Easter tour programme this year, with prestigious projects including the Ely Cathedral Choir tour of Central Europe, Bristol University Chamber Ensembles visit to Prague, and Milton Abbey School’s successful visit to Paris.

Paul Trepte, Organist and Master of Choristers at Ely Cathedral commented “We are mightily impressed with One Stage and would not hesitate to ask again. We would certainly recommend you to others too, as we had a great time. We have much experience of touring all over the world and we think the hotels selected were some of the best we have encountered.”

Watch this space for more news of successful tours over the summer!

Brussels Events

Tuesday, March 22nd, 2016

In the aftermath of the terrorist attacks in Brussels this morning, the British government are advising British Nationals currently in Belgium to stay away from crowded areas and not to use public transport. Similar advice is being given by the Belgian government to Belgian Nationals and Brussels residents and the metro system in the capital is currently closed. You will find the FCO advice in full here. https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/belgium

OneStage do not have any groups in the area at this present time. We will be monitoring the situation on behalf of groups who plan to visit Belgium in the coming weeks.
