OneStage are recruiting a German and English speaking Concert Tour Operator, for a permanent job role, to work within our operations team in Brentford near London. This person would be responsible for making arrangements for our clients' performance tours, which will largely take place between March and July 2020.
The successful applicant will be expected to liaise with our clients in detail about their travel arrangements and musical performances. They will also be expected to make detailed corresponding arrangements with a wide range of suppliers (such as coach companies and hotels) in several countries, but particularly in Austria and Germany.
The post would be office based, but would include some travel overseas to meet suppliers, (approximately 5 times per year), to view concert venues and to accompany our clients on inspection visits prior to their tour. Excellent organisation skills are essential for this post, with the ability to make complex arrangements over many simultaneous projects.
Proficient German is required for this post. Please do not apply unless you speak German extremely well. The applicant must also be a fluent English speaker and other languages are extremely beneficial.
A driving licence plus plenty of driving experience is necessary for this post, as the successful applicant may be expected to do site inspections in various locations around Europe prior to our clients' tours. The successful candidate must have a good knowledge of, and a genuine interest in classical music, with practical experience of music making extremely desirable.
Travel experience and knowledge of European geography and culture will be essential.
An outgoing and sociable personality is vital for this position, as client contact and forming good relationships with suppliers and concert venues/organisers is a large part of this job.
