January 2020 - Concert Tour Operator Vacancy
We are looking for full time concert tour operator to join our friendly team in Brentford. This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly organised and efficient person who is passionate about music and travel. The successful candidate must be fluent in spoken and written French and English (additional languages are a bonus).
All applicants should have a good knowledge of and interest in classical music. Playing an instrument, or personal experience in music touring and / or performing would be useful.
Much of the job is office based and the successful applicant will be required to work from our office in Brentford liaising with clients and suppliers by telephone and by email. All our concert tour operators are expected to travel approximately once every six weeks on average in order to plan events and assess venues, hotels and other services. A full valid driving license is required to be successful in this role, as the person we employ will be expected to transport themselves (and often also our prospective clients) to various locations for inspection purposes.
Previous experience as a tour operator is not required. However, the post does involve working on multiple projects simultaneously, often with coinciding deadline, so candidates must demonstrate that they have a keen eye for detail, ability to multi-task excellent time management skills.
